SOLAR POWERED WATER PUMPING SYSTEM

Solar Water Pumping System:
Solar irrigation systems are the most suitable solution to meet the electricity needs of agricultural lands that are far from the grid lines. Regular irrigation is one of the most important issues in agricultural lands. If necessary and sufficient irrigation is not done, the product may be completely lost and all labor and investment costs may be lost.

Irrigation is generally done by reaching underground water resources by drilling method. By means of irrigation pumps suspended in the opened well, the water is drawn from underground or from the well and delivered to the irrigation channels. In agricultural irrigation, it can be used in two different designs, such as feeding the AC pump with a solar energy system with an off grid system or installing a DC solar pump system that does not require the use of batteries and inverters. The efficient and effective solution is to install a DC solar pump and supply the water needed from the tank or pool.

Equipment Used in Solar Agricultural Applications:

•  Solar Pump: While designing the system, the most important issue is determining the solar pump suitable for the need and calculating the system with licensed programs. Thanks to the specially produced solar pumps used in the system, the amount of energy drawn by the system will decrease, and the cost of the system will be affordable by using solar panels and batteries at lower powers. In addition, the system will operate with high efficiency, since no inverter and battery are used and energy is consumed at the production site. Sensors:

a) Well sensor: It is used to measure the water level in the well.

b)Pool sensor: It controls the motor according to the water level in the pool.

While designing the system, the following information should be determined;

-The depth of the well where the water comes out,
- If there is a tank, the size of the tank, if there is no tank, how much is the daily water need,
– Irrigation frequency (Irrigation is done in how many days)
-Level difference between the well and the warehouse
-Distance to carry water horizontally
- Months in which the system will be used
-City where the system will be installed
